About Michael Zoupa

Hi, I'm Michael.

I'm a Melbourne-based relationship therapist. I help couples, and the people in them, stop circling the same fights and feel close again.

What matters to me

I'm passionate about helping people build a life that feels fulfilling and steady. I blend evidence-based techniques and cognitive skills with somatic practices like Qigong, so you can work through what's in the way and reconnect with your own strength.

My focus is self-compassion, clarity and resilience. Together we work on finding calm when life feels chaotic, getting your spark back at work, and building closer, more meaningful relationships.

Above all, I want you to feel heard, valued and back in charge of your life.

How I work

Attachment first

I help you see the pattern underneath the fight, not just the fight.

Direct and practical

I'll tell you what I see, and give you things to try between sessions.

Body and mind

Qigong and acupressure/EFT help you calm down enough to actually talk.

No sides

In couples work, the relationship is the client. Both of you get heard.
